Frozen Bone Broth Cubes for Dogs

Frozen broth cubes can turn hydration and enrichment into a simple routine. Use only a broth made for dogs or a homemade broth with no onion, garlic, heavy seasoning, or excess salt.

Ingredients

  • Plain, cooled, onion-free and garlic-free bone broth
  • Optional: a few finely chopped dog-safe vegetables such as carrot

Directions

  1. Pour the cooled broth into a clean ice cube tray.
  2. Add a tiny amount of optional vegetable if desired.
  3. Freeze until solid.
  4. Serve one cube at a time in a bowl or enrichment toy.

Safety notes

Never use broth containing onion, garlic, chives, heavy salt, or seasoning blends. Remove visible fat and bones before using homemade broth. Start with a small amount and supervise your dog. Ask your veterinarian before adding broth if your dog has a condition affected by sodium, fat, or fluid intake.
